2014 marked the first year Jamille attended the ICFF in New York. Showing the Live Elm Credenza and The Rift Table as examples of this new direction, he's working rapidly to ride the wings of the great feedback and positive reactions to his work and follow up with new versions ( using other materials, ceramic, new metals, and wood species) as well as some new pieces.
Here's what he's up over the next couple of months....:
MEDIA CAPABLE IIVE EDGE WITH METAL: This more media-capable version of the credenza will feature a bank of drawers that slide from left to right for shelf space configuration, and discrete options for wires and electronics.
LIGHTING: Jamille is working on a large chandelier light, that uses two-way mirror, semitransparent glass, brass, and nickel to create a naturally occurring organic effect that appears in the crystalline structure of meteorites.
CERAMIC: Jamille has been designing some ceramic pieces, and made great contacts at the ICFF 2014 with ceramic manufacturers, making his long-time dream of integrating ceramic in his furniture, possible. More to come on this soon..
This is the inspiration for the Meteor Light which will be coming out in the next month.
